my biking activity statistic May

Bike to work: 17 days.
Totally workdays in office: 19 days
Bike commute percentage: 89%
Marathon event day ride: ~ 70 KM
Spirit Run event day ride: ~ 50 KM
Other ride: ~ 70 KM
Total distance ride: 8.55 * 2 * 17 + 70 + 50 + 70 = 480 KM
Total Calories burned in riding: 9600 Calories
According to the calories I burned, I should have lost 1.066kg fat. But I didnot lose any...

BMI = 21.26, same as last month.

I started to use my HRM to record calories burned during workout since June 1st, so I will have a very accurate calories burned in my next statistic.

You are very organized and good at calculation. 480KMs, wow, you are a strong and active girl. Cannot wait to see your next stats.

I only can jog about 50KMs one month.

When it comes to carolies(), how much cycling KMs equal to 50KMs jogging? Appreciate it a lot if you could do the calculation for me. I am not good at calculation that much.

Thank you, Jessica. I'm flattered. I used to be very lazy and hardly doing any workout. But start from biking to work, I felt myself became more and more active. Maybe you should do the same thing!

For calories burned in jogging, it is affected by the speed and the body weight. Here is a link of jogging/running calories calculation:

Honest with you, I didn’t care about my weight at all before until recently I noticed that my hubby was not looking at me the way he used to. He even bought mirror glasses, so he can keep peeking on those hot babies even when I am right beside him. I loved him so much and I had changed a lot for him. Now, it’s time for me to love myself a little more. BTW, my high school sweet heart still thinks I am sexy. LOL.

People here don’t do cycling often on street because of too many freeways, not only the speed limit is as high as 70 miles, but also there is no lanes reserved for bicycles.
I plan to go cycling in a gym that is close to my office.

Hi Carol, I am obliged to you for the link about how to calculate calories. I jumped on the bandwagon and scrabbled up a result which indicates that I should have had weight increase for 10kgs, which I have not. I am still a slim build as before. You also mentioned that you should have lost weight, but actually not.

Do you know where those weights go?

Recently, I do have quite a few pimples sneak off my face and butt; I strongly suspect it were those pimples that took away my weight. The only problem is that total weight of those pimples is no more than several grams, much much less than 10kgs. I am wondering they might be nuclear pimples.

What is your theory?
